Sheds & Workshops FAQs
For most garden sheds you do not need planning permission but there are some things you need to consider including height of the shed and where it is situated in your garden.
The maximum height of a garden shed is 3 metres without the need for planning permission, or 4 metres if it has a dual pitch roof. If your shed is within 2 metres of the property boundary, then the maximum eaves height of the shed must not be over 2.5 metres.
