Your Concrete Garage Questions Answered

  • I have an old garage that needs removing, how do I go about this?
    • A site survey is always recommended to assess your old garage/site. If you don’t want to remove the garage yourself, Dencroft Garages are licensed to remove and dispose of asbestos and can arrange for our fully qualified engineers to remove your garage safely for you.
  • I don't have a base, how do I sort this out?
    • Visit our base laying page for more information if doing it yourself, alternatively, we can arrange this when we do a site survey.
  • I have an old base but I don't know if it's suitable, what should I do?
    • A site survey is recommended to assess whether your old base is suitable or not, our Dencroft surveyor can arrange for your old base to be removed and disposed of and a new base laying. Alternatively, consult our base laying page for more information.
  • Can I put a garage on flagstones/tarmac?
    • This is not recommended, a solid concrete foundation is essential. A new Dencroft concrete single garage will weigh between 3 - 4 tons. Consult the Dencroft surveyor if in doubt.
  • Do I need planning permission?
    • Under recent regulations most outbuildings, including sectional garages, are exempt from planning under permitted development rights providing all the limits and conditions are met. Please visit our planning page for more information.
  • Will someone come out to check the site if I’m not sure what I need?
    • Our site surveyor or agent can visit your site to discuss your requirements and give you a full no obligation quotation. Alternatively if you are not in our local area, our customer service team can deal with most enquiries.
  • What is the ordering process?
    • If you have received a written quotation you will have also received an order form, sign this form at the bottom and send it to Dencroft Garages along with a 10% deposit. Alternatively you can ring our sales office on 0800 1182547 and we can take your order/deposit over the phone by debit/creditcard, or email us with your details at sales@dencroftgarages.co.uk and we will be happy to contact you directly. Once your order has been processed we will send you an invoiced receipt, order confirmation letter and copy of your order form. Please check this form for any errors, once the once the order goes to final invoice it cannot be changed. Approximately 7 - 10 days prior to delivery we will send out your final invoice which will have your delivery date confirmation on the bottom.
  • How do I pay for my garage?
    • Final payment can be paid by cheque, we accept most major debit/creditcards, and cash payments. We can also arrange a finance package if required, please contact our sales office for further details and we will be happy to talk to you.
  • When will I get my garage?
    • Once your deposit is paid, your order confirmation letter will give you an estimated delivery time, a definite delivery date is confirmed on your final invoice.
  • Is my new garage covered by a guarantee?
    • Dencroft Garages offer a full 10 year structural guarantee, see our guarantee page for more information.
  • Are there any maintenance guidelines for my garage?
    • Your new Dencroft garage will require minimum maintenance to keep it as good as new. Please see How to prolong the life of your concrete garage for further information.
  • What is Dencroft’s panel Interlocking System?
    • Dencroft garages are constructed using our advanced tongued & grooved interlocking panels. The panels are machine-vibrated and reinforced with high-yield steel to give an exceptionally strong concrete panel.
  • What are the benefits of interlocking panels?
    • Benefits of our interlocking system include: ● Prolongs lifespan of garage ● Weatherproof ● Added strength ● Drastically reduces the risk of breaking & entering
  • How are the interlocking panels fixed?
    • Our interlocking panels are bolted together with 6mm thick zinc-plated bolts for ultimate strength.
  • Do all garages feature interlocking panels as standard?
    • Yes! All of our garages here at Dencroft are fitted with our state-of-the-art interlocking system, so you can be confident your garage is as strong as it is practical.
  • What is concrete garage refurbishment?
    • Garage refurbishment involves renovating and improving an existing concrete garage. This can include repairs/replacements of roofs, doors, side doors, windows, fascias etc. In fact anything to do with a concrete garage. And of course, if your garage is beyond repair we can remove and dispose of it (including any asbestos) and a supply a new concrete garage.
  • Can you refurbish non-Dencroft garages?
    • Yes! Our team of experts here at Dencroft can work on any concrete garage, of course, this may sometimes lead to a rebuild depending on the state of the garage, however, we’ll always clearly communicate any advice or recommendations.
  • Why should I consider refurbishing my garage?
    • Refurbishing your garage can increase your home's overall value, enhance the garage's functionality, and improve its aesthetic appeal.
  • How long does a garage refurbishment project typically take?
    • The duration of a garage refurbishment project can vary based on the scope of work and the size of the garage. Most jobs would be done in one day, occasionally two at the most.
