Garage dangers you may have overlooked

Garage dangers you may have overlooked

Here at Dencroft Garages, we love an organised, neat and tidy garage - not just because it looks amazing and it makes your life a whole lot easier, but because it helps prevent any major hazards which could occur.

A lot of homeowners don’t think twice about dangers of the garage, but when it goes wrong, it has the potential to go VERY wrong. So, to help you be more aware of what could go wrong, here are a couple of dangers that you’ve more than likely overlooked in your garage.

If you have items all over your floor and scattered across the worktop in your garage, it’s a recipe for disaster. Particularly if you are a clumsy individual, it won’t take much for you to fall over something, or for something to fall from the worktop and injure someone or damage something.

Not only does clutter increase the chance of an injury to you or a family member, but if you have expensive power tools laying around, they could fall off and break – costing you a lot of money.

Fire hazards

To help minimise the chance of a fire, it is extremely important that you properly store all combustible chemicals such as fertiliser, paint thinner, gasoline and pesticide – all these can heavily contribute to dangerous fires.

We recommend that you keep a fire extinguisher in your garage as well as following disposal instructions on each label.
