How to convert your concrete garage into a man cave

Every man dreams of having a man cave, where he can chill out and watch the football, maybe have a poker night with his pals or just a place to have a few drinks with the lads. Here are our tips for how you can convert your concrete garage in to your very own man cave.

Personalisation

A man cave is not a man cave until you personalise it with all your accessories. Whether you want it comfortable and cosy to chill out and watch the football or slick and classy to have a poker night with the lads, make sure you design it however you want. After all, it’s your man cave.

The plan
There are a lot of things you need to consider when planning out the conversion of your concrete garage in to your man cave. But aspects such as AC, heating and insulation are the most important.

The lay-out and plan of your man cave should be very bespoke and exactly how you would like it, do you need plenty of plugs for electricity? Do you want it to be designed like another room in the house? Planning out your man cave should be extremely enjoyable, as it is every man’s dream.

Furniture

There are many options when it comes to the furniture in your man cave. If you have a large group of friends who will be visiting regularly, you will need a sofa and a few chairs, but if there is a small inclusive group, only a selection of chairs will be needed. Also, it’s not a man cave without a large amount of alcohol, and you need somewhere to store those drinks at an acceptable temperature. The least you need is a small-sized fridge to keep the beers chilled.

The walls

Not only do you need to think about insulation when it comes to your walls, but what you put on these walls is as important as anything else. Alcohol, TV’s, records, posters of your favourite bands and sports teams are all things that could be featured on your wall. Plan out your decorations meticulously, but the walls need to be protected. Put insulation between the wall studs and cover it up with drywall, then finish the job by painting it whatever colour you want.
